Trinity College is a wonderful place to explore and relax in the middle of Dublin City.

There is plenty to do there from paying exhibitions, guided walking tours to grabbing a coffee or a bite to eat at one of the catering places inside Trinity College.

The Book of Kells and the renowned Long Room:

The Book of Kells Exhibition is a must-see on the itinerary of all visitors to Dublin. Located in the heart of the city centre in Trinity College Dublin, the Exhibition displays the Book of Kells, a 9th century manuscript that documents the four Gospels of the life of Jesus Christ. The Book of Kells is Ireland’s greatest cultural treasure and the world’s most famous medieval manuscript.

The Exhibition also features access to the Long Room, one of the world’s most beautiful libraries, that houses 250,000 of Trinity College’s oldest books.

As part of ongoing conservation plans for the Old Library, the Book of Kells will be removed from public display from November 2019 to early March 2020. Ticket prices are reduced by 15% during this period.

There is always an interesting exhibition on at the Science Gallery. To see what's on visit https://dublin.sciencegallery.com/

The Zoological Museum

The Zoological Museum has a long and proud tradition. From humble beginnings around 250 years ago, the collection provides a vital undergraduate teaching resource for Trinity's Department of Zoology. The museum has recently undergone major refurbishment and now represents a unique and popular resource for staff, students and visitors.

The museum operates a very successful outreach programme for the general public from June to August each year. The emphasis is on providing a unique experience suitable for all the family. The success of the programme is attributed to the quality of the exhibits on display, the opportunity to handle historic objects and listen to their individual stories, expertly interpreted by the Zoology staff and graduates.
