1. FRIDAY 14th OCTOBER 2022

(A) 2:30PM - 7:00PM LAUNCH THE GATHERING –

An afternoon of events to launch the Gathering at the Cill Rialaig Arts Centre, Ballinskelligs, Kerry.

2:30pm Genealogist and historian

4:00pm Family Tree Sharing – bring along your family tree to make some connections!

5:00pm Official Opening - the Mayor of Kerry along with local politicians will officially open the 2022 Gathering with refreshments.

6:00pm Spectacle Mór - participation and presentation of the family at the ‘Spectacle Mór’ outdoor festival in Waterville/Cahersiveen,Kerry.

2 . SATURDAY 15th OCTOBER 2022

(A) 10AM - 3:00PM ANCESTRAL COACH TRIP #1 :

Coach trip with renowned local historian Eoin O’Neill from Foras Feasa to Ballinskelligs Castle (McCarthy Stronghold) constructed by the MacCarthy Mórs in the 16th century to protect the Bay from pirates like its sister Castle of Ballycarbery castle then hidden in Portmagee and standing watch over Valentia Harbour is the hybrid site of Reencaheragh Castle and fort site of the O’Sullivan stronghold and onto Castlecove near Sneem with lunch stop at Parknasilla Hotel before a return to Waterville/Cahersiveen.

(B) 6:00PM - 11:00PM CLAN DINNER :

The Butler Arms, Waterville will host the Chieftain's reception, followed by dinner and entertainment from ‘The Spirit of Ireland’ traditional Irish dance show followed by Ceili where you will learn some Irish dancing and play an Instrument.

3 . SUNDAY 16TH OCTOBER 2022

(A) 10:00AM - 6:00PM ANCESTRAL and SPIRITUAL COACH TRIP #2 :

12:00pm Mass at Killarney Cathedral

1:00pm Picturesque Muckross House and Gardens.

2:00pm Ross Castle and Dunloe Castle which at some stage were both either built, burnt or plundered by the OSullivan Clan. This trip includes a stop at the world famous Gap of Dunloe.

3:00pm Official Family Photograph.

3.30pm Lunch at Kate Kearney’s Cottage in the majestic Gap of Dunloe before a return trip to Waterville/Cahersiveen.
